Mind in several different places
Gazing around the room
Seeking out familiar faces
Can feel the jitters overtake,
Is it anxiety or espresso?
Barely am I able to tell
What conversations are about
I laugh along when queued
Otherwise caught up
In a little daydreaming
Spending time plotting
Strategizing and scheming
On how I could dip out
Just a little early
Because I want to enjoy
Today’s sunshine
Wishing I was vacationing
Laidback on the beach
Drinking a fruit smoothie
Pineapple, mango and peach
