Eating my boogers
They taste like candy
Rough housing with friends
My hair is all sandy

Built up a tower
Just to knock it down
Tell me “no” once
I’m stompin’ ‘round with a frown

Don’t —
Expect me to take a nap
Jumping cot to cot
I could really use a snack
Singing song after song,
Story time is where it’s at

Refusing to leave
When it’s time to
Head to toe covered
In paint, a bright blue

My teachers say they’ll miss me
And why wouldn’t they?
They say my name all day,
Know they’re wishing I would stay!
