Dreams Are Reality

Let me tell you ‘bout dreams
For they do come true
Just need to journey
Back to an innocent you
Before they criticized
The way that you dressed
When you were always
Excited to express
When being vulnerable
Came second nature
And being rich didn’t mean
Being overly concerned about paper
A bubble bath could turn
Into an escape from pirates
And we didn’t work too hard
Watching our lives fly by us

I’ve been living a dream
That I didn’t recall
Lost myself for a time
Dreadful thoughts took over last Fall
But I continued to push
There’s always a light at the end
More laughs to laugh
Picked back up my pen
Found new inspiration
For the craft that I love
Can’t stop thanking
The Creator above
Entering a new state
Of maturity
Blessed to have made it
Back where I’m destined to be
