Peacock

Hesitant, scarred to approach
garnering stares of both
amazement and reproach.
Shaking my feathers, in time I reveal
hundreds of green and blue eyes
that look back in curiosity.
Will you come closer,
take a chance and explore,
or be frightened by my grandiose nature
you could learn to adore?
