Imagine my surprise while strolling through Central Park and seeing that the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom. Now, should the other flowers blossoming have been a sign? Yes! But there are hearts in my eyes when I see those pink petals. If this week is any indication, then it's safe to say that the days ahead of us will be joyous, glorious and most importantly — drenched in sunlight. The energy in New York is electric on gorgeous days and I find myself looking forward to this Spring more than I ever have.

Who would have predicted that March, a month with no major holidays, such as my birthday, would grow to become so meaningful to me. This month marks a year since I had to gear up for war, colorful gel pens and journals in hand. I’m always one willing to take a leap of faith and stepping into my creativity was one of the best choices I allowed myself to make.

I’m giddy with anticipation for April though I’ve yet to write a single poem thus far…
