Ignored, purposefully and accidentally.
What is it that you mean to say?
Afterall, I'm sure it could be said
in less of a roundabout way.

I would give you an answer
not necessarily the one you seek,
if you could be honest and direct,
then this conversation wouldn't feel so bleak.

We've been going in circles for hours
like two children stuck on a carousel.
Prodding for secrets and rumors
but I've nothing to share or dispel.

A wolf in sheep's clothing, you huff and puff,
eventually wearing yourself out.
