Tunnel Vision

Currently we're having a competition
of who can laugh the loudest.
Fondly, I look over and observe
the way the sun kisses your skin,
making your freckles stand out,
and what a dreamy grin!
Tunnel vision when we're together,
all I see if you, and I'm so grateful
you recognize and accept
the hidden parts of me too.

This moment has been captured and added into
the collection of vignettes archived within my mind.
Every second we've spent together, fleeting,
and yet not a single detail left behind.

Before bed each night I rewatch our time spent
like movies, they play behind closed eyes
and all that I do is dream of you.
