Sunny days, I took for granted
until the rain poured down,
sweeping winds and harsh showers.
Clouds covered the skies,
darkening the mornings
and the inside of my mind.
But the sun peaked through
and I found happiness again,
yet, in the back of my mind
I couldn’t help but think of
the rainy days I took for granted.
