As Always,

Went through today in a daze
A Monday blues haze
Downright melancholy
I was taken over by a cloud
I couldn’t escape
A shadow —
I didn’t want to face
I started singing a sad little tune
And instead of running away
I sat
I soaked
I let it all consume
As always, the rain subsided
My emotions were my guide
To a rainbow, joyous, in the sky
