Goodbye 2022

Here are some of my highlights of 2022:

  • Allowing myself to feel my feelings and not just intellectualize them

  • Learning to listen to and trust in my intuition

  • Becoming more confident in myself and who I am regardless of others perceptions and expectations

  • Truly learning it’s okay to not fit in

  • Promoted from receptionist to Executive Assistant to the CEO

  • Attending my first Gala (No photos, but I was best dressed let me tell yah!)

  • Resigned from the position I was promoted to (woohoo!)

  • Spending more time with my brother and sister, especially doing more creative projects

  • Taking my sister out trick or treating all dressed up

  • Attending my brothers basketball games and my sister cheerleading competitions

  • Having heart to heart conversations with my mother and father

  • Indulging in the hobbies I used to enjoy as a kid, reading, writing, paining, coloring, singing

  • Taking a bartending class and failing the test miserably!

  • Finally attending a wheel throwing pottery class in which I made absolutely nothing

  • Nurturing a plant properly instead of letting it die (my son has grown so much!)

  • Attending Subrinafest and becoming closer to my friend since 3rd grade (that’s my sister!)

  • Outings a with friends, too many memorable nights to count

  • Taking myself out on museum dates and treating myself to flowers

  • Seeing Nicki Minaj in concert (my Moment4Life for real)

  • Filling several photo albums with pictures of my family, friends and our most memorable moments

  • My skin finally clearing up and glowing! (The basics works better than using every new skin care item from Sephora, I promise)

  • Seeing my families art around the city and attending their gallery opening

  • Surprising my grandmother on her birthday

  • Taking a solo trip to Hawai’i and climbed up a crater to watch the sunrise (I even sent my first postcard, just so you know, took about 5 days for mail to get from Hawai’i to NJ)

  • Getting my permit (again!)

  • Sharing my art more often and being more consistent than I used to be

  • Completed my first adult paint by numbers portrait (it took a whole month, second one already in the works)

  • (Unknowingly) Built an altar to honor my ancestors

  • Adding more colors to my wardrobe (there’s no way you can be sad wearing pink, word to Elle Woods)

Until next year

xoxo
